Leslie was a tomboy, not interested in fashion until her mother, Bettina dragged her to the mall. Once she began trying on clothes and figuring out what felt great and gave her confidence, she was hooked. Even during Leslie's corporate career she gave her co-workers fashion advice and finally decided to make a career of it. She started with trunk shows with friends and as her relationships to designer brands grew, so did the demand. Her husband said, "this business has outgrown our house, just open a shop." And so she did. Bettina's of Los Gatos grew a loyal following of women and men who appreciated the honesty and candor of a shopping experience with Leslie and her well educated team. Not everyone loves to hear, "no, that's not working on you," from a sales person but they kept coming back because they knew that any purchase from Bettina's would be a wardrobe staple and they'd look like a million bucks.

The store enjoyed 24 years of success and Leslie decided it was time shake things up. Her favorite part of the business was making people feel great in their clothes and with one on one consulting, she can give clients her full attention. Leslie maintains all of her brand relationships, enabling her to offer beautiful lines via trunk shows and personal styling advising. She's found a way to feed her passion for fashion, make clients feel great and still get in some skiing and golf.
